Poppy-seed rolls (šišky s mákem)
A traditional sweet supper from potato dough: rolls coated in poppy seeds and sugar, drizzled with melted butter.

Ingredients
- 400 g potato dumpling powder
- 100 g ground poppy seeds
- 2 tablespoons icing sugar (or more)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Method
- Mix the potato dumpling powder with water per the instructions and shape small rolls from the dough.
- Bake on a greased tray in the middle of an oven preheated to 200 °C; turn once during baking so both sides turn golden.
- After baking, drop the rolls into boiling water and scald for 5 minutes.
- Put them in a large bowl, dust with poppy seeds and sugar, pour over the butter, toss and serve warm.
