Poppy-seed rolls (šišky s mákem)

Ingredients

  • 400 g potato dumpling powder
  • 100 g ground poppy seeds
  • 2 tablespoons icing sugar (or more)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Method

  1. Mix the potato dumpling powder with water per the instructions and shape small rolls from the dough.
  2. Bake on a greased tray in the middle of an oven preheated to 200 °C; turn once during baking so both sides turn golden.
  3. After baking, drop the rolls into boiling water and scald for 5 minutes.
  4. Put them in a large bowl, dust with poppy seeds and sugar, pour over the butter, toss and serve warm.
